For nearly thirty years I have been making stopmotion animated films that have now been seen by millions of people around the world. My team and I have made two features and five shorts which have participated in over a thousand film festivals and won over 120 awards including two Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe nomination and an Academy Award. I draw every day and have done so ever since I could hold a pencil over 50 years ago. Drawing is my yoga and I still create my pictures with just a pencil, black ink, and watercolour paper. All my films begin with a drawing, a face, an eye, an expression; something they conveys emotion, humour and pathos.
